In my view, Teaching in Thailand mainly to surf the terminology to be used over the use of everyday waste. Some people still do not know the terminology about vegetables - fruits called anything but to know about science vocabulary over another. For this reason , most people in Thailand did not dare to speak English because they think they know English , but who really knows what does not apply.

For me, I think Thai likes bullying on the others.
Whenever someone wants to speak English, Some of Thai people will look down on them.
That's why Thai people afraid of speaking English.

In my opinion, I think Thai people always learn about grammar, but they don't learn how to perform their English skills as speaking at all. For example, I was the one who can't speak English when I was in high school. I don't know how to speak correctly. Moreover, Thai people always concern about their accent, including the pronunciation as well.

For me, I think people like to make fun of each other when someone speaks English.
Even he/she speaks in Thai accent or whatever, people like to make fun.
If we can stop make fun of each other, they might be confident when speak English.
