Should parents hit their children?

The child needs to learn early in life that bad behavior is painful. I am not saying beat a child. I am talking about a spanking on the behind with clothes on and only using your open hand. This punishment must be used only as a last resort.

It's important to not spank, hit, or slap a child of any age. Babies and toddlers are especially unlikely to be able to make any connection between their behaviour and physical punishment. They will only feel the pain of the hit. And don't forget that.

Spanking cannot solve the peoblems.
It can cause many effects on children such as aggressive, mental health problems and low self-esteem.
For me, parents should talk to thier children reasonably and the punishment should not be violence.

Hit in a reason that want to teach their child morality or in the reason that the parents just angry or something?
For me, i think they can do if they want to teach their child but it can't be not too hard or too much.
It is because children will feel so badly.

I strongly disagree with the hitting children method of many parents nowadays. As parents, we should talk to children directly with reason. We should have the proper ways to deal with this situation. If you use the violence in the family especially to the children, it will lead them to have their weak points in their heart. They will gown up in a inappropriate way and cause many problems in the country.

In my opinion, parents can hit their children in only some occasion. They should not hit them frequently because it is not good for taking care. Children who are smacked by their parents may grow up to be not happier than those spared physical discipline. I believe that parents should talk to children who did something wrong. I mean talking with the reason. Then, hitting can make children remember what they have done wrong. They will avoid bad things eventually, I think.

I don’t doubt that there are many parents who’ve hit children to discipline them to a good extent, or children who’ve been disciplined as such and grown into fantastic adults. But I’m going to say a hard ‘no’ on this one. When you get punished, what’s the first thing you think? If you’re getting punished for something you don’t realize is wrong, it isn’t?

I think it should but not too much. Hitting on the body is one kind of punishment, corporal punishment. This is an ancient punishment. It still works for dealing with discipline for children, not too young. However, it still has a side effect. If parents who use this kind of punishment too much, they will make your kids build up a thick wall against their parents. So, I think this kind of punishment is needed when the kids display serious cases such as stealing. In another case, the other kind of punishment is better such as warning, deductive punishment, etc. It will make you, as the parents, seems reasonable and trustful.

Uhmm..I think it depends on the reasons.
Children these days are not very disciplined.
We sometimes cannot control them to follow the rule.
