What makes you enjoy being alone?

I enjoy being alone for many reasons. First of all, because I learned to out of necessity. Me having the ability to enjoy being by myself was a coping mechanism because my past was a point in my life where being around people was the quickest way to get unpleasant feelings going. People violated my boundaries in ways I didn't have to put up with alone and I always managed to feel disappointed in general.
