Is there life after death?

You die and you are gone. The body decomposes. It is like a switch was turned off to a computer and it no longer has power. The hard drives spin down, the processor stops processing and the information in memory goes blank. But do not fear for when you die you won't even realize you are dead. You won't be afraid or in the dark or alone or cold or hungry. You as a person won't exist.

To me, Different people have a variety of different reasons to why they may believe in life after death such as, it gives them a reason to be moral, it may be their religious belief, gives them a sense of justice or a purpose in life could also be for hope and comfort, so they have something to look forward to and cling onto giving them courage.

I used to read the scientific article. The expert said that I sincerely hope there isn’t. I deny there was any purpose for life, and I see no reason to assume there was life outside the life of cells and biological organisms. And they themselves are meaningless orchestration of meaningless chemical reactions.
This world has already felt like being locked in an insane asylum with no escape whatsoever and any attempts to make the situation anyhow more tolerable are bound to only bound to make it either even crazier than cause some harm in some other direction.
